"Surface" Launch X Exhibition

I.D.S Parrot Shirt, Black Sheep Neckpiece
So last night myself and a couple gal pals headed down to the exhibition/issue 2 launch of Melbourne based art magazine Six Years Later (www.sixyearslater.com.au). A magazine which prides itself on the fact it has no ads and no articles. Pretty rad, hey?
A super cool crowd greeted us (many of whom sporting my fav piece of facial goodness... the MOUSTACHE) and with free cocktails and $2 beer we knew we were onto a winner. Most of the artwork is for sale and with prices ranging from $25-$4,500, there certainly is something for every budget. Unfortunately though, everything I was already dreaming of hanging in my new abode was just that little bit too pricey for my poor ass. Boo hoo indeed.
The exhibition  is being held at the No Vacancy Gallery on Jane Bell Lane & runs until THIS Sunday (26/08). I recommend everyone to go have a gander.

And So It Begins...

I have never moved house. Yes, in my whole 24 years on this fine earth I have never had to pack up all my shit and take it somewhere new (continents doesn't count you see, I only had a suitcase). This therefore presents me with a problem... When the hell are you meant to start packing? Is three weeks before said move too soon? Oh well, I guess I'll take my chances.

Mimi Holliday

Kamikaze

There is nothing better than the moment you receive a brand spanking new set of underoos. Especially when said set is silky smooth and so bright it's almost neon. Mimi, you have never done me wrong. Oh, how I love you so.

Pixie Market. Again.

Kilibbi dress, from Pixie Market
I love birthdays. Yes, even when they're not mine. Tonight I will be taking Mr Smith to a restaurant in the CBD called Gingerboy for some (expensive) food and (equally as pricey) cocktails for what will be the start of his birthday celebrations. He's not one for making a fuss, so I'll have my work cut out for me for sure.

I received this dress a while ago from where else Pixie Market. I've not worn pastels for a LONG time and am muchos excited to get back on the proverbial pastel coloured horse. Here's hoping I don't spill anything. Tears on someone else's birthday is not a road I wish to travel down.

P.S how awesome are those gold metallic plates? It's like a collar but not. Glorious.

E.A.Burns for Boticca

So I ordered this E.A.Burns neon triangle pendant from online jewellery/accessories boutique Boticca last week and today, after work, I returned home to find it had already made it all the way to good old Australia. And my, my, my, isn't she a beaut!! So light, so BRIGHT and just pretty much perfect. I am a happy lady.
