WANG WANTS

Alexander Wang is without a doubt one of my favourite designers of the moment (ok, ok, I've had a bit of a love affair for a while now). Simple but stunning pieces you can mix and match with each other, as well as your probably more colourful items, always get big ticks in my books. What is unfortunately not so much of a big tick... the price point. God damn those price points. God damn them to hell. But I digress.

I don't know about anyone else but I am very much feeling this whole "monochrome" thing right now. Don't get me wrong though, if I can't got monochrome, I will happily transition to white and nothing but white.  I feel like this has something to do with an impending winter but perhaps it just means I am over dressing like a colourful hobo? I'll never know.

Regardless, I just spent the past few hours trawling through Green With Envy's website for some imaginary purchases. Fun. Fun but oh so painful.  Clockwise from top left we have the dumbo clutch, classic white tee, nadine ankle boot (you'll also notice this shoes taller sister a few posts down, what can I say? Obsessed - sure, I'll take it) and THOSE low rise cropped jeans

The day I'm rich is going to be a very good day indeed.

FRIDAY FUNDAY

If shopping is happiness then happiness is today.

Yes, this afternoons purchases courtesy of Topshop, Bardot and Green with Envy. For further details... (L-R) Topshop metallic sweater (two things, firstly, technically this was actually a gift from my mother and secondly, if you want to spend around double for the same thing, head to Mossman), Bardot gold collar, Secret South sweater, Topshop pants (matching tunic here) and top.

Happy Friday indeed.

SNEAKY MCPEAKY

Aaaaand she's back in the game. A quick sneak peak of a shoot I styled this past weekend. Featuring clothing from the gorgeous Fitzroy boutique Gusto & Elan, the lovely Husk and my spectacularly talented lady friend Stacey's collection, Variations On A Theme. As well as jewels from my good old employer, Black Sheep Galleries.

More photos to come soon so keep those eyes peeled my friends!

THE SHOE EDIT

I am not one to judge a gal's downward spiral towards the good old shoe obsession. If I were financially able to spend hundreds of dollars monthly on new pairs, believe me, I would. So instead I do as most do, waste precious hours (ok, you got me, I have nothing but time at the moment) on various websites drooling over those which I will probably definitely never be able to call my own. These are a few that I'm currently cyber stalking.

Clockwise from top left: Dolce & Gabbana approx $2386, Alexander Wang $748,
    Gianvito Rossi $531, Church's $381, Acne approx $633, Sophia Webster $731

K-DUBZZZZZZ

Before you ask, yes, I had a wonderful birthday.

Enough about me. Say a big yellow (see what I did there?) to the latest addition to my sunglass collection, the beautiful Blue Moon's by Karen Walker. More exciting than anything else (perhaps?) is the realisation that I have finally broken Mr Smith into purchases he is quite adamantly against. Just me that cares? Wow, don't sugar coat it for me.

Below you will see an example of how I am now fashioning the space kid-cum-alien-cum-bug look and as such, thought it only appropriate to use this blurry (shit) photo. Enjoy!

Now that's all over with, you can buy these guys here. Go. Do it. I dare you.

ON BLUE JEANS

This has by far got to be the most practical way in which I have spent birthday money, ever. Well, practical in terms of clothing maybe. And because, let's face it, buying or receiving anything you 'need' as a means of celebrating your birth, is pretty shit. My good friend Tania will attest to that. But I digress.

After receiving said birthday money from my parents some 2 weeks ago, I could not longer resist the urge to take a little trip along Chapel St. Here you will see the results of my somewhat restraint. Missing here photographically is, of course, the introduction of a TURTLENECK to my wardrobe. But enough about that, how does everyone feel about bringing back the 'chicken arms' pose? Yes? No?

Wearing Topshop jeans and T, American Apparel beanie & D.CO Copenhagen shoes.
